There’s a toy shop in our neighborhood that we absolutely love! It’s one of those tiny places stocked with upscale toys and sweet people who are always friendly when we stop in to browse. Imagine my delight when I took the baby out to buy some bananas and we strolled past this darling window display:
Apparently one of the clerks just got married and honeymooned at Disneyland, so he put this window together in celebration. He even made the little Mickey hats out of Playmobile bowls, hot glue, and a sharpie. He told me that the trick is to make the ears on wax paper with the hot glue and spray them with that “dust off” keyboard cleaner to cool them quickly. I’m not endorsing this since I just told you to use about a bazillion toxic chemicals and I waive liability for any craft burns or toxic fumage that may occur. However, do not be surprised if you soon see a hundred of these little hats for Eva’s Calico Critters army…
Thanks for making my day, Tutoring Toy!
